Show some respect, GFs Repack downhill record still stands after 30 years, you can dream of ever being as good a rider. Fisher bikes make a very cool 6" trail/AM bike called the Roscoe, you should check it out.
This DVD rocks! If you ride 26" bikes off-road you need to see this to discover the roots of the sport you love.
Just what i was going to say, serious weld oxidisation evident on this frame - Titanium frames must be welded in an O2-free atmosphere to ensure maximum weld strength/durability, otherwise they absolutely will break (ask anyone who owned a Clark Kent frame back in the 1990s) The rainbow discoloration is a tell-tale sign. There is a reason good Ti frames cost so much - production is very time-consuming and expensive. I'll second what Vertigoat said - hope the first crack isn't your headtube snapping off. That aside, this is a very impressive homemade bike, hopefully you'll find a way to make Mk.2 a little more durable.
Cannondale are by no means best known for their jump frames - try asking anyone who owned a Rush or Prophet with the mk.1 hotbox swingarm, or maybe a carbon Lefty from 2006-2007. Or go back a little further and find some of the people who lost the head-tubes off their Ravens. To be fair to Cann. the Scalpel and Taurine XC bikes are just amazing, but reliability wise i don't think they've really made a name for themselves.
Cannondale - Crack'N'Fail
Well props for taking the custom build route, it's certainly a lot cooler than a Fuel EX. ('cept maybe my EX8 ;))
Haven't you just built a (heavy) 5 inch trail bike? A TREK Fuel EX8 has very nearly the same travel and weighs 28.4lbs completely stock with a Taiwanese aluminum frame. Costs $2700 complete bike. About Us
